exactly.

in fact we are also looking very hard at enforcing the bid deadlines for
events. too often the begging and pleading and extensions cause folks to
get overwhelmed and overworked and result in less than favorable events
being held because of that. crown lists must happen, so to do coronations
(which should always be left up to the heirs). the rest are not required.
something to think about folks.

additionally, i would personally like to see folks entering crown lists to
have already put some thought into their own coronations. now that we are
able to have non-groups run events this should be a very simple process for
many people. i am fortunate to have a very strong household with lots of
talented folks to handle the various staff positions to hold an event. some
people do not. however, imagine how cool an event like your coronation
would be if you asked the knights, laurels, or pelicans to host it for you!
again, hurdles can be simple to overcome with the right resources.

Question: Aren't we forgetting why Their Majesties made this proposal?
Answer: The DEARTH of bids for kingdom events well in advance of the
event.

If all of these other locations and sites all over the kingdom were so
readily available and all of these bids were being submitted then this
proposal wouldn't have been proffered. In the last several years,
probably longer, virtually all kingdom events bids have been submitted
well after the deadline and usually after lots of begging from the
Kingdom Events Bid Coordinator. If people want events to be in all
regions of the kingdom then they are going to have to step up and
produce bids from all regions of the kingdom.
