[MR] Fw: Permanent Crown Site

Trimmed.

At the risk of being significantly over worked, I am offering to be a site
liaison/autocrat's helper at BJP. I don't live in Windmaster's but in
Winston-Salem, a little more than an hour away. This is of course subject to
someone closer that wants the job.

I can go to the site with my camera and photograph items that an autocrat
will need to know and put them on my own website. I would put it there so I
can update more frequently and timely. I can get together a basic map with
how I have seen a couple of events there laid out as a suggestion. I can
give a basic inventory of sorts to what the cook will find in the kitchen. I
could add the sizes of class rooms and main hall. Pictures of the sleeping
arrangements with cabin numbers and number of beds in them. I also could
scout out the local town and find grocery stores, directions to the nearby
Wal*Mart, hospital, etc.

I could investigate specific requests from autocrats and update them on my
web site. And be a single (or mostly so) contact for the site owners.

My offer is for two years. I do not want to be an autocrat. My experience is
there but on a much smaller scale. I don't want to recruit staff, etc. Just
be a tool that gets information to get the site up and running. I will
return home each night to my own bed and such. I want time to enjoy the
event. In other words, answering questions and finding answers is really
what I want to do, unless my group is the sponsor. Then I'll negotiate what
I can do. I likely will want to merchant most of the time.

Due to disabilities, I can function most of the time and am mobile,
especially if I can drive. I don't lift or carry much stuff, I don't climb
hills or walk long distances all at once. What this means, though is that I
don't have or will ever have a job again. My calendar is significantly more
open that most everybody else's.

Geffrei Maudeleyne, who is likely more insane than previously suspected.

Fellow Subjects of Atlantia,
...
. I think the travelling and pre arranging is all part of the service.

As for the local groups near the site bearing a lion's share of the load, i
think those groups will bear this well. I know them and feel very confident
the Kingdom can count on them. There are alot of people that come forth to
help with Kingdom events and Crown tourney is supported by the officers who
bear responsibility at that level. so much of this event is at a "Kingdom"
level. If groups were so gung-ho about holding Kingdom events, we wouldn't
have a problemm finding hosts, would we? It seems we are arguing over not
having a central location so groups that are not forthcoming won't have a
chance to fail to come forward. Does that make any sense?

Good idea!
