Fellow Subjects of Atlantia,

As someone who has travelled extensively to Crown tourneys over the years, I would like to comment.

I have given this alot of thought and I have come to the
conclusion that this is a good idea.

Being in the geo-center of Atlantia, being a fixed location
so that those preping for Crown know where and what to
expect vis-a-vis the site, autocrats from wherever would
know what to expect and how to plan.

Sure, those who live further away would have more travel
 time, but...

if you want to be monarch, traveling to the center of the
kingdom should not even be a consideration. (You will do far more than that if you win!)

If you want to compete/display A&S, you don't have
to get there at dawn or even be particularly rested.

If you have never been to the site, maybe you don't
 want to autocrat Crown.

I remember traveling from one end of this place to the
other to fight Crown. You seldom knew what to expect when
you got there and you took time off to have the best
experience if you went a long way.

I have also travelled from SC to Storvik (and many spots nearly as far) to help cook a feast. I think the travelling and pre arranging is all part of the service.

As for the local groups near the site bearing a lion's share of the load, i think those groups will bear this well. I know them and feel very confident the Kingdom can count on them. There are alot of people that come forth to help with Kingdom events and Crown tourney is supported by the officers who bear responsibility at that level. so much of this event is at a "Kingdom" level. If groups were so gung-ho about holding Kingdom events, we wouldn't have a problemm finding hosts, would we? It seems we are arguing over not having a central location so groups that are not forthcoming won't have a chance to fail to come forward. Does that make any sense?

Other than keeping geo-fringe "Crown curious"
subjects from going, I can think of no reasonable drawbacks
and quite a few positives. If you want to go to a Crown
 Tourney, you will go.

 Good idea!
