I for one appreciate the efforts to make this process more
transparent, smile. I know many folks didn't know this info about
University having a fund to defray costs (we've been looking for a
University site in Dun Carraig for the past few months). And if/when
the changes are made to allow Kingdom to bear a portion of the site
fee are approved and adopted, I'm thinking more groups will be able to
put in event bids. But with sites running $1000-2000, that takes a big
chunk of a small group's entire budget (and doesn't allow for any
other event expenses)...this prices us right out of the hosting game.
I realize this is not especially pertinent to the discussion about a
permanent site for Crown, but it is part of a larger challenge facing
our Kingdom and the issue of getting event bids.

University is easier to address than Unevent -- it has it's own bank
account. If there is a charge for the site, The University of Atlantia
foots the
bill, and any donations go toward the fund that defrays such costs.
