[MR] Permenant Crown event site

I'm not a huge fan of 'me, too' posts, but after reading Her Excellency
Adeliza of Bristol's post: ditto.

There's a problem. TRM's proposal seems a viable fix. I also applaud TRM
for offering it for discussion, instead of implementing it as a royal fiat.

I once autocratted a kingdom event held at a State Resort Park a long way
from our home group, and while distance autocratting presents some unique
challenges coordinating with the site and bringing in supplies (list ropes,
troll tent, unfamiliarity with the best places for road signage, etc.) these
are all easily surmountable with forethought and planning.

Her Excellency notes, "No matter where Crown is held, someone is going to
complain it isn't close to them. However, I don't hear people complain that
Pennsic is never close, nor Gulf Wars, nor Crusades when it was going
strong, nor WoW for that matter. If you want to attend bad enough, you
will."

I might add, that the stability of knowing the same event will be in the
same (very nice) place, same time each year, let's the populace plan to
attend well in advance, which mitigates some of the 'trip' issues. I would
venture to suggest that perhaps in the case of other events she cites their
growth is due in no small part to the stability of a good and _predictable_
site.

Regards,

McKenna
