AS 8, eh?
That was my first year in the SCA, and my second event was a University of Carolingia.
I went to a lot of events in Carolingia during my first year, as I was living in what is now part of the Bridge.
Sunrise, sunset . . .

Not so much guessing.
The game was invented out of whole cloth by Mistress Alizounde de Bregeuf, aka
na for a post revel in Carolingia, AS 8, as a medieval-oid version of "spin the
ottle".
There's a message in the Florilegium entry for 'Cloved Fruit' that mentions the
ame had become unpopular in Atlantia by 1995. This horse is mummified.
