Absolutely no offense meant, Milady, but ladies were not the only ones  
to whom such "gifts" were bestowed.

I can personally assure you that men were also given cloven fruit, and  
dealing with the expectations of what lady "gifters" expect are an  
entirely different set of emotions and situations with which to deal.
