When I came into the Known World in AS VIII, cloven fruits were all the rage.? I assume you're referring to their use as a vehicle for flirtation.

At that time, few of our members were out of their 20s and married couples, while not exatlyl rare, were the exception rather than the rule. As time went by and the population matured (and the SCA became less a singles' club and more a family organization), the popularity of that sort of flirtation waned.?

I have not seen cloven fruits used in that social manner for at least a decade, and for the decade prior to that, they were very rare.

Deos anyone still use the cloved fruit or are they things of the past? Just a
passing thought in mind...

While that one passed by another came ... when fabrics were made for clothing
were they made into bolts then cut into clothing? Was thinking it would of made
more sense to weave your fabric into patterns then sew pieces together thus
wasting less fabric... anyone ever research this?

Someone with to much time on her hands unfortunally
