I know others have already answered your weaving question, so I'll
chime in WRT cloven fruit. Like so many things, it's an art...best
when done well and lightly. Too often it carries a tawdry or slimy
overtone, making it uncomfortable for the recipient. Personally, I
love them...but I am saddened to see them used as an opportunity to
intrude beyond the bounds of gentility (or good taste), smile. Thus
the decline in usage for many folks.

Other people will have different experiences and thus different
opinions. I hope mine helps answer part of your question.

Deos anyone still use the cloved fruit or are they things of the
past? Just a passing thought in mind...
While that one passed by another came ... when fabrics were made for
clothing were they made into bolts then cut into clothing? Was thinking
it would of made more sense to weave your fabric into patterns then
sew pieces together thus wasting less fabric... anyone ever research
this?
Someone with to much time on her hands unfortunally
