[MR] Cloven fruit

I won't say it is emposible to weave cloth into patterns. But it would be very hard and time consuming to do. When you warp a cloth loom you have to put the threads out to the widest point. To make a patern you would have to count threads to weave narrower parts. It is a lot easier to weave the cloth into a rectagle and cut to the needed pattern.

Deos anyone still use the cloved fruit or are they things of the past? Just a passing thought in mind...

While that one passed by another came ... when fabrics were made for clothing were they made into bolts then cut into clothing?Was thinking it would of made more sense to weave your fabric into patterns then sew pieces together thus wasting less fabric... anyone ever research this?
