Well, I can't say better than this, this pretty much sums it up. 

 

And it's unfortunate, becuase this tradition was a great ice breaker, a charming way to flirt, and a vehicle for creativity and humor. But yeah, some folks got a little out of hand with it, and it just got kind of uncomfortable. 

 

I bet if you passed one out now, hardly anyone would know what to do with it. Kind of sad.
