one thing of note, her highness does not need any fighters as guards during
the scheduled tourney and melee times at our coronation this weekend. thank
you in advance for looking after her!

Subject: [MR] Rapier Fighters requested for Royal Guard Duty

Good Afternoon,

While Atlantia is greatly honored by her Rapier fighters in battle, she
is also equally honored when they serve the Kingdom off the field. I
know from years of experience that when a call for assistance from the
Queen of Atlantia is made, the Rapier fighters of Atlantia are always
the first to step forward, gaining honor for themselves and our
community as a whole. Her Highness and Future Queen, Essa, will soon
take the throne, and as such will need able Fighters to protect her as
she travels through Atlantia and into Foreign Lands. This being the
case, our Future Queen has tasked the Captain of Her Guard, Sir Theron
Andronikos, to seek out Rapier fighters who would stand as one of Her
Guards during the upcoming reign.

Her Majesty understands that you will be interested in fighting in
tourney, melee, and war, and does not desire to take fighters away from
the field. She will instead be needing guards during times after the
fighting, such as during court and her evening travels on site.
However, any offer of services as a guard by any of Atlantia's fighters
during any part of the day would be more than welcome. And if
sufficient numbers of guards can be retained, the time standing as guard
would be relatively brief.

Bearing this in mind, I would request that those fine Scholars, Free
Scholars, Provosts, and Friends of the Academie interested in acting as
one of the Royal Guard to please contact me off of the list so that I
might add their names to the list. Service to the Crown brings great
honor to you and those you honor. And should you have never worked with
the Royalty before, the duty is quite enjoyable and will give you great
insight on what actually goes on during a Reign.

Please include:

Name (SCA)
Name (Mundane)
Email
Phone Number
Location

I would also _*urgently*_ request volunteers for Guard duty during
Coronation *_this weekend_* in the Barony of Black Diamond. We are
currently looking for four or more guards.

Thank you for your time. Should you have any questions, do not hesitate
to contact me.

Very Respectfully,

Baron Christopher MacConing

Provost

P.S. Please forward to all Baronial, Canton, Shire, and Stronghold e-lists.
