Greetings to all in the tavern,
I would like to offer my thanks to the Barony of Lochmere for hosting a really fun event yesterday.
Sir Alfred was a gracious and unflappable autocrat in the face of such weather! He even found time to offer his participation in the music entertainment of the day.
Yes, it did indeed rain like Noah's second cruise, but it was warm and as there was no thunder and lighting threatening our safety, the days activities went on anyway for those who knew that they would not melt in the rain!
Being one of those who knew her melt-ability was not in question I participated in the archery competition. I had a fantastic amount of good shooting and camaraderie with the other intrepid archers.. By the end of the day I was wet and moderately muddy from retrieving arrows but I had FUN!
My thanks also go to Lord Robert Runewald for the loan of his archery equipment when I almost wimped out and left my own equipment home because of the rain. Your generosity allowed me to participate and not miss out on the archery shoot.
My compliments go to Lady Cristina Iarina Chaikinaia for fine and tasty feast. I hope she might be enticed to publish the recipe for the cheese spread she served in the first course. It was to DIE for!
Your Excellencies, Dominick and Margery, you have a strong and talented populace and they did a fine job at your investiture.
yours,
Mistress Martelle von Charlottenburg, OL
Baroness of Bright Hills
