Morning all,

I just drove from Missisippi through Alabama, Georgia & SC last night.

Race Trac stations seem to have gas, likewise some of the Pilots and the one with the Jet logo that I can't recall right now. The ones that are running out are Exxon, Shell, and the stations at exits where they are the only gas station. If you see an exit with three or more gas stations, you're pretty safe to stop.

That said, almost all the stations were out of premium and the middle grade. Just plain unleaded gas is available, if you're willing to wait though.

The stations that do have gas have pretty bad lines, but "out" is an exaggeration. There are some stations that have run out, but they'll refuel in a couple days from other sources. (I was talking to a lady who worked at an empty Exxon station in Annapolis while I was filling up from the 5 gallon jug I'd bought in Mississippi.)

The I-85 corridor from Greenville to Durham has gas. There WAS gas at Haw River (exit 150 on I-85 N), so if that's a usual stopping point, you're good.

Hope that helps,

Livia Z.
