[MR] Haggis isn't worse than chicken feet....

Haggis used to be imported in cans before they invented mad cow disease. Some
years ago I brought in a can for a colleague who loved all kings of "variety
meats."

When I was a kid we used to feed the cat raw lung. We'd buy it from the
butcher, and ask for day-old "stale" lung because it was for the cat. We used
to pay about 25cents for a lung. A couple of times the butcher gave us fresh
lung, probably because he didn't have any of the  stale stuff. My mother
cooked it up for my father, who liked it. It was kind of squishy and chewy for
the rest of the family. But, a Haggis is liver and lungs, with oatmeal and
enough whisky to give it flavor. I guess my mother was out of whisky that
week. Or maybe she was out of oatmeal.
