Being Pennsylvania German born and raised, I believe I embarrass my family by saying "ick, no thanks!" whenever I'm offered scrapple. Even though my parents used to smother it with King Syrup, I wouldn't touch it as a kid. However, I earn back some ethnic pride points by enthusiastically tucking in to a good hog maw on occasion.

Granted, if I hadn't grown up eating hog maw... I try to not think about it too much when I'm eating it. :-)
