Felicitations, Ulfdis and Uilleag! So, how long before you put
leather-working tools into his hands? I figure a week or two! May you know
the joy of your son that I have known of mine.

Warmly,

Lyon

I MADE MAN-CHILD!  Ok, actually, Shannon / Ulfdis did all of the work, I was
just an extremely proud observer.

We arrived at the hospital at 0430 Wednesday morning.  Shannon was ready to
be admidted by 0715.  Labor progressed very slowly until finally after
Shannon had finally worked all the way through a normal child birth, when
Sean decided he did not want to make an appearance around midnight on the
3rd.  She was fully dialated, but Sean just would not drop.  No matter of
inducement worked.  He was brought reluctantly into the world, stubborn as
his old man, at 0130, Thursday, 4 September.

He is 8lbs 11oz, 20inches long.  He has grey eyes very similar to his
mother's and dirty blondish hair.  The eyes may change color, the hair will
darken or lighten....
Both baby and Mother are doing fine, finally getting some very much needed
rest.  Labor lasted all told 30 hours, start to finish.  Dad is going to get
a shower and some sleep, after being awake for over 45 hours, before going
back to the hospital in about 8 hours from now.  Both Mom and son should be
ready to come home Saturday.
