[MR] OT: Gas availability in Atlantia

We've heard reports ranging from anywhere this weekend to the second week of
October before relief hits Western NC (I'm in Asheville). The point is that
nobody, local governement, state government, or national government can give
us a straight answer. Meanwhile, we find gas where we can and conserve what
we can. I've heard reports of Charlotte having problems and Hickory west
having problems. I've also heard (unconfirmed) that Spartanburg/Greenville
is having a few problems as well. If you can avoid the area, or have enough
gas to drive through the area and up into VA, you should be fine.

The Raleigh area (Windmaster's Hill) seems to have pockets of areas that are
out but not the whole city. It seems to have hit the western part of NC
harder than the eastern part. The news said "help is on the way" but I
don't know what that means and haven't had a chance to read anything yet so
stories about what's going on this week might not be current if you're
planning a trip for next weekend.
