Never liked Newport Creamery and there was one on my block in Providence! My friend asked for an "ice cream float" and was given vanilla ice cream floating... in seltzer. Seltzer???!! *cringe*. I ordered next and made sure to specify "in some kind of cola, ANY kind of cola, please". Was that just a Newport Creamery thing or did the whole state make their floats with seltzer?
I do miss the frozen lemonade and the coffee ice cream though... Mmm.
