[MR] OT Trivia

Since I posed the Tea question, I'll offer a quick story:  

I will admit that I have found grits in Bangor ME!  In several places up there as well.  Most being hardware stores that obviously have confused grits with grout or a wall patching compound.  Though in a Walmart, during a desperate trip north in the middle of a snow storm (like we southerners know what those are..), I did find 3 - 5lb bags of old-fashioned grits covered in several inches of dust and surrounded by cobwebs on a bottom shelf.  It was like finding that perfect piece of fabric at WSW for those of us that remember THAT place!  I was amazed, as were my former in-laws!  But what can you really expect from people who are so horribly confused that they have baked beans with their eggs at breakfast?  Those poor people...  I had to wait 'til supper before the bathroom was 'safe' enough the enter without HAZMAT gear!  Took months to work that out in therapy!

<ok, mostly sarcasm!  Please don't take anything personal if you're from ME or imported your dog from there or whatever.  I love Maine and can't wait to go to Freeport again.  I don't see a therapist.  And it was lunchtime when the bathroom was safe.>

As for the tea question: I forgot about McDonald's tea which does, indeed, offer our southern security blanket pretty much everywhere.  Thanks Larry!  The majority of places I've been to that are north of South Hill, VA do not give the pre-sweetened option.  So my guess is route 58 east to the coast, then maybe a bit more north the further west you travel.

         Now that THAT question has been answered, who can say where 
the vastly more important "grits line" is?  This is the point below 
which you have to specify if you do NOT want grits to be served with 
your eggs . . . or your hamburger, or your tofu creature, or your sirloin.
         From my experience, somewhat dated, it would have to be 
somewhere between Richmond VA and Hamlet NC.
