War
of the Wings III
After Procession,
Their Excellencies begged Their Majesties to allow them to open a
short court at which time they inducted Baron Bardulf Rauen into the
Order of the Sacred Stone.
Upon courts completion, Her Excellency made Her way down to the
Thrown weapons range. Here she did award the honor of being inducted
into the Defenders of the Sacred Stone unto Lady Eleanor of Grey and
also awarded her with the Baronial Award of Excellence for the great
assistance she has given to Their Excellencies and her constant
service to the Barony. After a short walk to the Archery range, Her
Excellency called before her Guntram the Wayward, and at this time
did induct him into the Order of the Yeoman. She then was spoken to
about a young archer, and his chivalry and courtesy. This young man,
Edric Alricson, was awarded the Phoenix’s Rose Quartz for his
action of giving his award to a young lady of 6 years, so that she
might further her pursuit of archery. She then did close Her court.
Their
Excellencies did beg a boon of their Majesties at evening court, who
graciously permitted the Baron and Barone to open a court.
Their
Excellencies called the Autocrat, Herin Gisela vom Kreuzbach, to
announce the standings at this point in the War. She did announce
that Sacred Stone was in the lead, although Black Diamond did give
rough competition in various areas, earning their War points with
their host of talented people.
Their Excellencies then called the
following for awards:
-Baroness Bessenyei Rozsa: The Flame of
the Phoenix, for her assistance with the morning procession as well
as the hospitality under the Baronial pavilion.
-Dubhghall mac Donnchaidh: The Phoenix’s
Pyrite, for only a fool for service would take upon the duties of
Exchequer, and do such a wonderful job.
-Duke Ragnarr Blackhammer: Order of the
Sacred Stone, for his standing service to the lands of Sacred Stone,
since his moving to the Barony.
-Baroness
Reyna the Dancer: Order of the Phoenix’s Eye—for her talent and
studies in the areas of Middle Eastern dance and cultures, and her
open willingness to share her knowledge.
-Mari of Varekai: Order of the Sacred
Stone for her unending service to Barony and her Canton.
-At this time Their Excellencies
did also make Susanna (Suzy)
inghean Aoidh the first
Equestrian Champion of the Barony of the Sacred Stone.
Their
Excellencies then called Their Archery Guard to bring forth two
boxes. One of the boxes was filled with toys for the Children of the
Kingdom, a gracious donation from the people of the Barony. The other
was filled with gifts to Their Royal Majesties gifted by various
craftsmen of the Barony,.
This
did conclude the court of Their Excellencies. The Royal court then
resumed.
This
is as I know it, forgiveness and corrections are begged if there are
mistakes.

Passion, it lies in all of us. Sleeping, waiting, and though unwanted, unbidden it will stir. Open it's jaws and howl. It speaks to us, guides us. Passion rules us all. And we obey. What other choice do we have? Passion is the source of our finest moments. the joy of love, the clarity of hatred, and the ecstasy of grief. It hurts sometimes more than we can bear. If we could live without passion, maybe we'd know some kind of peace. But we would be hollow. Empty rooms, shuttered and dank. Without passion, we'd truly be dead.
