It sounds good to me :)   Though I might also posit that 'one test' may
not be enough to see such a system working in it's full glory.  But
instead, if enough events start doing it, on a regular basis, that
people get in the habit of doing it.

(Also, do announce on the Merry Rose that you are doing this, instead of
relying on the event announcement.   I've found personally that many
people don't read event announcements at all anymore except to get the
address, but instead just 'attend the events that they attend')
