[MR] Word of His Majesty Atenveldt

I have this word from the Internet today. It seems misfortune has befallen His Majesty Phelan of Atenveldt. Atenveldt may seem far removed but in my mind we are all part of an extended family of friends in the SCA. Those who believe in the power of good thoughts and prayers are requested to remember His Majesty.

Greetings brothers and sisters of Atenveldt,
 
HRM Amirah has asked that I relay some information to the populace.
 
This afternoon, approximately 2 hours ago His Majesty Phelan underwent emergency
surgery on his elbow for a serious infection.  This infection began 2 days ago
and rapidly spread from his elbow throughout his arm and shoulder.  The surgeon
states that the procedure went well and they are awaiting some tests to
determine the nature of the infection and the extent of damage to the arm-if
any.
 
His Majesty is resting comfortably post surgery though is in an isolated room
due to the infection.  Therefore he will not be able to have any visitors during
his recovery time - which they expect to be another 2 days in the hospital.  Her
Majesty is staying at his bedside.
 
They respectfully ask that should you have urgent business regarding the reign
or stepping down to contact the Kingdom Seneschal at seneschal at atenveldt .com
and Duchess Katerina at mattkatie2 at cox. net as they are in contact with HRM
during this time.  All other non urgent items can be e-mailed to TRM though
there will be a slight delay in response.
 
Please keep TRM Phelan and Amirah in your thoughts and prayers.  I am certain we
will be seeing them side by side on the field sooner rather than later.
