This Deed of Arms began at the Sapphire Joust, an even with long traditions. At that event alone I stood Tenan on two successive days.

In total, I stood this Deed at nine different events over the course of about six months, standing tenan a total of six times.

The most I met at any one event was the sixteen who came forth on the two days of Sapphire Joust. The most I met in one standing were the ten who came forth at Midnight at the Oasis and War of the Wings.

Those I fought included a King, several Dukes, a couple of Earls, numerous Knights, at least one brother Pelican, three or four Barons, and others of different ranks or of no rank save the innate nobility conferred by the bearing of arms.

Their experience ranged from some equal to mine to one who had authorized the very day we met in the Deed. My final match was with a young man who had been fighting less than a year.

In all, the number of my opponents was sixty-six. Two of those fought me more than once with different weapons..

I offer thanks first and foremost to my Lady Wife Catherine, who was my inspiration and support not only for the Deed itself, but for the whole of the thirty years we have been together. Without Catherine in my life, I would not be anywhere near the man I am today.

I offer thanks to all who assisted me in the conduct of this Deed, not only by standing to combat with me, but also by marshalling, by providing me with refreshment, or by offering encouragement and support.

I offer thanks to the Monarchs of Atlantia, King Sinclair and Queen Kari, and King Jason and Queen Gerhild; who permitted and encouraged the doing of this Deed.

And above all offer humble and hearty thanks my Lord God in Heaven for that He as seen fit to endow me with the health and endurance to continue on this strenuous path in my fifty-sixth year of life.

All of the matches have been recorded visually. When I am able, I will post a gallery of the Deed

Your servant aye
Donal Mac Ruiseart
