[MR] Compilation of Earl Sinclair's Chronicle

This is a transcript of messages sent by Earl Sinclair Hawkins to the Merry  
Rose,  at intervals during Atlantian Crown Tourney.

The report of the first challenge-in was at about 12:30 and the report  of 
the final fight was at about 3:00, so the whole Tourney took about two hours  
and a half

Earl Sinclair used a Blackberry to submit the reports, hence the remark  
about thumbs.

Greetings all. The contestants taking the field this day.

There will be three challenge in's before the first round is set. Lord's  
Matthew, Michael and Christian will be picking opponents after the procession  
ends. Procession is lining up now. 

More to come. 

(I apologize in advance for using nicknames and shorter versions of names  
from here on out. My thumbs won't be able to take the full names for long). All  
misspellings are totally my fault and not the fault of the SCA Inc.

The first  round challange in's are Matthew of Battle challenging Sir Daemon  
Broussard

Lord Michael challanging Sir Theron

Lord Christian challanges Baron Achbar

1st round. 
Achbar legs Ld Christian but Christian wins from his knees. 

2nd round
Lord Christian wins.

2nd Round
Sir Theron legs Lord Michael and then wins the round. 

Christian advances to the first round.

Lord Matthew of Battle vs sir Daemon Broussard. 

1st round 
Battle rages across the field. Sir Daemon legs Lord Matthew  and then wins 
the fight. 

2nd round 
Lord Matthew breaks a sword and Sir Daemon is having a armor  repair  
fighting resumes after the short break. Lord Matthew legs and  quickly kills Sir 
Daemon with a quick combo. 

3rd round 
Lord Matthew is legged and then Sir Daemon finishs the match  the winner. 

A long challenge well fought by both combatants. 

On to the first round now!!!

Duke Logan Ebonwoulfe vs Baron Askold Grimr Brotamaor. 

1st fight
Duke Logan legs Baron Grimr and the wins with a shot to the  body. 

2nd fight
Baron Grimr wins with a shot to the head. 

3rd fight
Duke Logan wins with a clean fast shot to the head. 

Both fighters looked good in this first round. On to the next fight.

Sir Theron vs Sir Daemon

1st fight
A flurry of blows to start with. Sir Theron legs Sir Daemon  and then Sir 
Daemon stabs a quick shot into Sir Theron's stomach. 1st round to  Sir Daemon. 

2nd fight
Sir Theron legs Sir Daemon and then wins with a blow to  Daemon's head. 

3rd fight
Sir Theron wins with a stab to the eye of Sir Daemon

Next round begins  now!!!!

Sir Vladimir Vs Lord Christian. 

1st fight
Sir Vlad with Polearm vs Christian armed with Sword and  Shield. Sir Vladimir 
legs Christian and wins with a blow to the head. 

2nd fight
Sir Vlad wins with a quick jab to Lord Christian.

Baron Mungoe vs Duke Ragnar

1st fight
Duke Ragnar quickly legs Baron Mungoe and then closes to win  the bout. 

2nd fight
Duke Ragnar wins with a quick offside to Baron Mungoe's helm.  Well thrown 
blow. Glad it wasn't me!!

Thus ends the 1st round of combat
Now time for the 2nd round of  Challenges!!!

Lord Christian takes the bout with a blow the head.

Lord Michael legs Lord Christian. Christian returns the favor  and then ends 
the bout with a skillful blow

Both men legged quickly. Lord Matthew scores with an offside  to the head

Again both legged quickly and Lord Matthew scores the offside  to win the

Baron Achbar challenges Lord Mungoe

1st fight
Lord Mungoe wins as Baron Achbar legs him. 

2nd fight
Lord Mungoe takes the second bout. 

On to the winners side of the second round!!! All challenges are now  
complete.

Duke Logan vs Sir Theron

1st fight
Duke Logan legs Sir Theron then wins with a combo that scores  an offside to 
the body. 

2nd fight
Duke Logan wins with a quick flat snap to the head of Sir  Theron.

Duke Ragnar vs Sir Vladimir (with polearm  of course). 

1st fight
Sir Vlad legs his Grace quickly then wins with a chop to the  head

2nd fight
Opening flurry. Sir Vlad is legged. Duke Ragnar wins. 

3rd fight
Sir Vladimir is legged but wins the bout with a stab to the  face of his 
Grace from range!!! Well thrown  blow!!

Lord Matthew of Battle vs Sir Daemon  Broussard. 

These 2 face each other again!

1st fight
Sir Daemon legs Lord Matthew then closes to take the first  bout. 

2nd fight
Sir Daemon is legged then legs Lord Matthew in return. Lord  Matthew takes 
the bout. 

3rd fight 
Lord Matthew is legged quickly in the bout and Sir Daemon  closes for the win 
and advancement in the list.

Lord Christian vs Baron Mungoe

Baron Mungoe legs Christian then closes to win.

These men are fighting for the fight to be in the final 4. Duke  Logan and 
Sir Vlad await 2 challengers from below. 

1st fight is Duke Ragnar vs Sir Broussard. 

1st bout
Duke Ragnar legs Sir Daemon and then closes to finish the bout  with a blow 
to the head

2nd bout. 
Duke Ragnar wins with an offside to Sir Daemon's head. 

Duke Ragnar will proceed to the  semis.

Baron Mungoe vs Sir Theron

1st fight
Sir Theron legs Baron Mungoe. Wins the bout with a stab to the  eye of the 
legged Lord Mungoe.

2nd fight
Baron Mungoe is legged again. Sir Theron closes and wins with  a deep offside 
back edge to Mungoe's back.

Duke Ragnar vs Duke Logan
Duke Ragnar must wins 2 sets to advance to  the finals. Duke Logan only 1 set 
to advance. 

1st set. 1st bout
Duke Logan legs Duke Ragnar and closes and wins with a  blow to the body. 

1st set. 2nd bout. 
Duke Logan and Duke Ragnar move quickly across the  field but Duke Logan 
closes and takes the bout and moves on to the  finals!!!!

The  2nd fight is Sir Theron with one loss vs Sir Vladimir with none. 

2nd set. 1st fight
Sir Theron legs Sir Vladimir but falls victim to a  ranged stab to the face. 

2nd set. 2nd fight. 
Sir Theron legs Sir Vladimir. As Theron closes. Sir  Vladimir smashes a blow 
to his face. 

Your Finals are Sir Vladimir vs Duke Logan. Remember the format. 5 fights.  A 
new form each round. No repeats until the 5th round. 

Let's get it on!!!!!

1st round. Sir Vladimir chooses... Glaive

Battle ranges across the field. Sir Vladimir wins!!!!

2nd round. Duke Logan chooses dual weapons. 

Sir Vladimir closes quickly with 2 swords against Duke Logan's sword and  
short spear. Duke Logan is victorious. 

3rd round. Sir Vladimir chooses great sword. 

The combatants close quickly and Sir Vlad is legged. Logan closes and arms  
Sir Vladimir and quickly finishes the bout. 

4th round. Duke Logan chooses Sword and Shield. 

The Combatants close quickly. Duke Logan wins. 

Vivat the New Prince and Princess of Atlantia, Duke Logan Ebonwoulfe and  
Lady Esa Kirkepatrike.
