Simple Nalbinding: Tarim Colorwork Learn to do a simple stitch and be colorful at the same time. The Tarim stitch is nalbinding at its simplest, and stranding makes it colorful as well. We'll look at basic construction and play with some charted colorwork as well. This stitch pre-dates knitting and could be found throughout the Middle Ages. Simple tools plus simple stitch equals fiber fun! Bring 2 needles (regular metal yarn needles would be fine) and wool yarn in two colors. Worsted weight or larger is best for beginners, but nothing smaller than fingering or sport weight please. I will have plenty of yarn, but please try to bring your own needles. There is nothing more difficult to take in hand, more perilous to conduct, or more uncertain in its success, than to take the lead in the introduction of a new order of things. -Niccolo M.
