Having fun with answers is great.  I had stopped at the bank before an event, in full 14th century with coiled braids, pattens, and all.  As I was pulling away, a man in the car next to mine shouted, "Is the Renn Faire in town already?"  I adopted a blank expression and said, "What's a Renn Faire?"  I loved his quizzical expression as I drove away.
 
Sometimes, it is a nice comment, however, and I feel no need for comment.  While I was at the checkout of a grocery store, in garb, an elderly Indian gentleman walked up to me and said, "It's so nice to see a young woman dress modestly these days."
