One I heard from the late Sir Cai de Lyon:

A group of Caidans were leaving a restaurant, all dressed in Italian Ren. A
couple of little old ladies asked why they were dressed like that. As Cai
told it, he was the instigator of the ensuing conversation. Said that they
were members of the Stanford Time Travel Club, and had just gotten back from
16th C Italy. Went on about all the preparation one had to do, how painful
plague shots were, etcetera. Wandered off, leaving the LOLs apparently
believing that Stanford had a time machine.
