I will be giving a class at Sapphire Joust on Saturday at 11am in Edric the Potter's booth on the basics of sewing shoes, leather pattens, purses, and pouches. I will demonstrate sewing techniques and have items in different stages of finish so people can understand the pieces and how they go together. I will have many tools and go over some of the advantages each has over the other. I will also bring several books on the subject for people to look at:

Shoes and Pattens
Stepping Through Time
Purses in Pieces
Before the Mast: Life and Death Aboard the Mary Rose

It is open to all, no fee and no material required but if you have a related project you are working on feel free to bring it and talk about it. Please bring your own seating to class.

Here some examples of my past and current projects: http://www.historiclife.com/HistoricalClothing/Shoes.htm

Please feel free to email me if you have questions
Thanks
James de Biblesworth
