[MR] Knowing all of the Results of Crown Tourneys

Sir Cian, and Gentles,

Forgive me if that is the meaning that you took from
my post. That was not the intended sentiment. I have
tried in the past to publish double elimination
tournament results to a web forum, though not to the
Merry Rose. It is time consuming and not easy. This
weekend's tournament, for example, ran with 8 rounds
of fighting, constituted of 32 fights including 2
challenge-in bouts, and best of 3 for the finals (and
semi-finals). Should there be any changes to the
standard format (byes, drops, challenge-ins, etc),
those would need explanation to accompany the results.
As it stands now, attaching a pdf file of the tourney
brackets would not make it to the Merry Rose as
attachments are stripped from the email, thus
necessitating the results to be converted by hand.

And to correct one statement that was made, Minister
of the Lists reports are not submitted electronically.
They require proof of legal signatures, and often are
accompanied by monies collected for authorizations.
As such, they can only (at this juncture) be submitted
by hand and by regular mail.

Should the technology afford a simple and efficient
way of publishing the results of double elimination, I
would gladly submit the information to the populace.
Until such time, any gentle wishing to know more
details has only to ask, as it is a matter of public
record. My only other suggestion would be to become a
warranted MOL and attend the event to follow the
progression of our fine fighters and the Consorts they
honor.

In service,
Lady Lisette la bergiere
