[MR] Mantlings, not Mantles.

Excuse me good gentles,

In all the banter here in the Tavern, I need a clear answer. What is it that
our Majesties wish? When they wrote Mantles, I pictured a small capelet type
of garb worn across the shoulders, and maybe attached with a hood to keep
the sun off my face. And I thought of making it a nice Atlantian blue with a
white spike on the back or around the edge. Now there is talk of dangling and
wrapping things from a helmet. Are these Mantles to be worn by the fighters in
armor? Last pennsic, Atlantian fighters/rapier/archers/ throwers wore on the
shoulder a bit of blue with white spike. We also make red avantails for the
fighters to wear on their helmets denoting our barony. So this Mantle idea is
to replace the blue on the shoulder? And where and how is it worn?

Yes, I am more than a little confused now, so please clearly explain. Just
what I am supposed to make, tell me clearly what it should look like (those
flicker sites take forever to load a picture), and include some sort of a
pattern description, or send me to a site with a pattern. When I know what to
make, and have an idea of what it is and how to make it, then I happily will
make....

YIS,
Lady Blitha of Wolfhou

I am certain that with a little ingenuity folks can figure out a way to
keep them laying down & not flapping in faces. hmm, snaps, buttons, ties,
or barring all else, a piece of duck tape rolled inside out & stuck
between the armor & the mantle. I'm sure our fighters can come up with
SOMETHING.
