[MR] Announcement of a Deed of Arms

All who serve a true  King and follow the Practice of Arms, , I pray give 
heed.

In celebration of my Thirty-Fifth year as a Fighter in the Known  World, and 
in honour of the love and support that my Lady has given me over most  of 
those years, it is my earnest desire to conduct a Deed of  Arms. 

Beginning at the  Sapphire Joust in Caer Mear, and ending with the Baronial 
Birthday in my home  Barony of Marinus, I will stand for a time as Tenan for my 
Lady Wife, The  Baroness Catherine de Bellefleur, declaring her to be the 
best and most virtuous  of all ladies. 

Let all who bear arms, whether Knight, Squire, or Man at Arms,  that be in 
good faith with their Sovereigns, come to the place that I abide on  the Field 
of Honor.  There, a staff  with a pennon bearing a gold anchor and the Roman 
numeral XXXV shall be  displayed.  I shall receive with all  challenges with 
matched weapons of Sword and Shield, Mace, Dagger, Long sword,  or Glaive; for 
contests of Five or Seven Blows received.  To those who bring such a challenge I 
 will give a token of remembrance.  
It is my especial  desire to meet as many as possible whose years of 
experience are equal to or  greater than mine.  To those will I  give a special token. 
The names of all  challengers will be writ in a book so that all may know the 
gentles of coat  armour that aided me in this Quest.

I offer prayers to Mary, the Queen of Heaven, and St. George,  Patron Saint 
of Chivalry, to support and sustain me as I attempt such a  feat.  May my Arms 
be reversed and  my words put to the flame should I fail in my charge.
