As a past MOL, the only comment I have to make is to take the MOL class and
try to do the job yourself before you try to add on more work to an already
busy job.

They give up their events so we have an orderly list of fighters in an
interesting format.  They fill out paperwork, they collect money; on
occasion they deal with rudeness and angst from the fighters, the marshals
and even the heralds at times.

I really think it's unfair to ask even more of them then what they already
provide.

If you are interested in a particular tourney, then go to the event.
Volunteer to help at the MOL table before you try to change what they do or
tell them you know a better way.

Just my two cents... not that anyone asked.
