Greetings All!
One of the projects that the Hidden Mountain Scribes Guild has been
working on is eliminating the scrolls from the kingdom backlog that are
for members of Hidden Mountain. It is our plan to start with our own
members to help clean up the backlog. This is an ongoing process and in
the course of researching scrolls for members of Hidden Mountain I have
noticed something that would only take a few minutes of your time but
could help the clerk signet quite a bit.

Did you know that there are 3531 scrolls which are listed as UNKNOWN in
the database. That means that you could have the scroll hanging on your
wall or in a box under your bed but the clerk signet's office doesn't
know about it. Therefore, the clerk signet has to keep up with all that
information.

Here is how you can help...
Go to the database for the Kingdom backlog and look up YOUR name. The
database is located here:
http://scribe.atlantia.sca.org/backlog/

There is a little orange flag which says "Unknown". Click on "view"
next to the orange flag. The alphabet in the middle of the page will
show you the "unknown" backlog. Just select the letter corresponding to
the first letter of your sca name and check to see if any awards are
listed. If you see your name, let the clerk signet know if you have
received the scroll or not. You can contact the clerk signet at:

signet at atlantia.sca.org

If you hold the title Duke, Duchess, Count, Countess, Baron, Baroness,
Mistress, Master, Sir...you are LIKELY to have awards listed here. If
you moved in from out of Kingdom, you are also likely to have awards
listed here. Please take a minute to check your own name in the
database. If you haven't received your scroll, moving the information
from "Unknown" to "Ready to Assign" would greatly increase your chances
of getting a scroll in the future.

If you have a little extra time, check out the Hold for Heraldry section
and make sure that you aren't listed there as well. Names and devices
get registered often well after an award is given out. It is difficult
to keep up with checking on the status of heraldry or name
registration. If you had your name and device passed after your
received any kingdom award, your scroll may be in limbo.

Thank you
Tegan de Moreton
