Lady Guenièvre de Monmarché, head cook for Battle of the Oranges
(March 29th in Windmasters Hill) has set the menu for the feast. Make
sure you get on board, or you will face the wrath of your jilted
tastebuds!
Please note: Ingredient list will be available at the feast – please
contact the head cook with any dietary concerns. Dishes may be
added/substituted based on the seasonal availability of ingredients.
1st Course:
· A platter of greens, lightly dressed with oil , vinegar and
herbs and ornamented with fresh fruits
· Hand-made ravioli stuffed with cheese
· Cold roast chicken with a variety of savory sauces
· "Stuffed" eggs, lightly fried
· An assortment of candied nuts
2nd course:
· Roasted pork with a savory herb-and-dried-plum filling
· Catalan "Mirause" (Chicken in cinnamon-almond sauce)
· Tagliarini (Pasta with arugula)
· Genoese Onion Tart
· Eggplants a la Neopolitan
· Fennel buns – Savory yeast rolls with fennel seeds
3rd course:
· Fritters of apple and sage leaves
· Pear and cheese tart
· Candied spices
· Quince paste and cheese
