Baron Bear had indeed one of the biggest hearts I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. At one of my first events near Columbia, my wheelchair went into a ditch and this brave kind man came to the aid of my husband Lord Jonathan Hawke and myself and helped right me -- not an easy task by any means. Afterwards he often checked on me through email "just to make sure" we did not need anything. As I move into my next phase of entering the SCA as Katyn of the Black Forest, I would like to think I still have his blessing and good wishes.
If his good lady needs anything, we would like to "just make sure" that her needs are met.
