And I'll repeat here a tip well worth noting: unless
the parameters have been changed recently, the
Pentathlon rules do NOT require that your five entries
each be a completely different type of item. You're
asked for 5 items from 3 different categories. This
DOES let people play to their artistic strengths while
pushing them to expand their focus some.

 For example, if you are primarily a scribe, you could
enter a cooked item (household arts), a piece of garb,
and THREE SCROLLS. 

A lampworker could enter three individual glass items
as pyrotechnica, and a detailed research paper on
glass in the period/place they're representing, and
only have to come up with one other item!

And no, you're not breaking the spirit of the
competition that way (well, unless things have
changed, I did stop paying attention for a while).
