[MR] Riveted Chainmail Survey

Greetings one and all!

 

I'm working with a non-governmental organization here in Ethiopia that helps
locals set up businesses.  I'm interested in helping them start up a riveted
chainmail business and need to know a bit of market research.  God knows
they need more businesses here.  You don't want to know how many beggars I
see a day.  About half of them aren't whole beggars, either.

 

Just for the record, I won't make a dime off of this.  If things work out, I
won't lose a dime either, but that's my problem.

 

Please respond directly to me so as not to overly annoy the list.  

 

Those who respond to the list instead of to me will no doubt be heckled as
illiterate bumpkins by their annoyed fellow list members. :-)

 

So, here are my questions:

 

1.	Which of these products would you buy in the next year (and how
many), if the price was right:

a.	Riveted Chain Hauberk
b.	Riveted Chain Shirt
c.	Riveted Chain Coif
d.	Riveted Chain Pants

2.	What is the right price that would both be fair and would induce you
to buy?  Assume shipping is included.

a.	Riveted Chain Hauberk
b.	Riveted Chain Shirt
c.	Riveted Chain Coif
d.	Riveted Chain Pants

3.	Which of these materials would you prefer, with 1 being first
preference, 2 being second preference, and blank meaning would not buy if
made in that material?

a.	Steel
b.	Aluminum
c.	Stainless Steel

4.	What else would you need to know/be guaranteed in order to feel
comfortable about buying these items sight unseen?
5.	Would you be willing to help them get this business started in any
other way?  And how?
