You can also check out over 22,000 books in Atlantian's private
libraries at: www.librarything.com/groups/kingdomofatlantia

I've recently enjoyed Leonardo's Swans by Karen Essex. Follows
Beatrice and Isabel of Ferrara through 15th c. Italian life. Topics
include art history, marriage and family life, military actions,
travel, daily life (upper class mostly). Sexual content may may it
inappropriate for younger girls.

Greetings to all,
I am in search of opinions on books. At a recent demo, I had a
question
from a mundane lady about what books I might recommend for her summer
reading. She was looking for fiction novels that portray medieval life
accurately. I had just finished reading World Without End by Ken
Follett so
I recommended that and another,The Illuminator by Brenda Rickman
Vantrease,
both being set in the 14th century. She did not have any certain time
period
in mind, although she used the M word (medieval)...but I would like
to have
any novels from within our time period for a grown-up reading list.
So, do
you have a favorite that fits the bill? Please send your favorites
to me

Thanks for your help, and I hope to see you all at Highland River
Melees on
June 14th.
