Greetings to the list,
It is because of our chroniclers in our baronies, shires, and cantons that
all of us stay well informed about the activities of our local groups.
Throughout the year, they toil away at their computers, out of sight of many
of us. And they do a fantastic job!
Once per year, the Society honors local chroniclers, newsletters, artists,
and writers who have done an exceptional job. These awards are the William
Blackfox Awards; more information on them can be found at
http://www.sca.org/officers/chronicler/blackfox-awards.html.
It is with great pleasure that I announce Atlantia's nominees for this
year's Blackfox Awards:
Best Overall Newsletter (that best serves the needs of the group): Canton of
St. Georges (Dragons Tale)
Best Layout and Design: Ponte Alto (Il Tempo)
Best Artwork: Hawkwood (The Talon)
Best Special Edition: Hidden Mountain (Field Guide to Atlantian Heraldry)
Best Special Interest Newsletter: Herald's Point
Best Regular Feature: Stierbach (The Bull: Scribal Corner)
Best Article: Ponte Alto (Il Tempo, "A 16th-Century Muff")
Best Poetry or Short Fiction: Black Diamond (Edicts & Epistles, "A Knight's
Tale")
Please take a moment to thank your local group chroniclers for the service
they provide month in and month out, as well as the artists and writers who
contribute artwork and articles. They all do a great job.
Best wishes,
Aneira
