Pelican (service to SCA) created by the Board of Directors"

"Then the Imperial Electors came forward and 
created the Order of the Pelican, with the 
insigne Vert, a pelican in its piety argent, to 
honor Imperial staff who have worked their heads 
and other parts off in teh service of the 
Society; and they awarded the first Pelican to 
Boncuer, the Imperial Registrar. Rumours that at 
Twelfth Night there will be a contest to see who 
can feed him the most sardines are as yet unverified. "
