Andras,

The short version: switch Outlook to send to the list in plain text. The 
default for many mailers is rich text, or both, and the messages are 
much larger.

The long version
I am not the moderator, but I can make some assumptions about this and 
then deductions. You are using Outlook & Word to compose your e-mails. 
Outlook likes to use rich text in e-mails, often sending both rich text 
& plain text versions of the message in the same post. Rich text is 
several multiples larger than the plain text. This results in the large 
message size that caused your post to be rejected. My assumption is that 
the Merry Rose mailer sends only plain text, which resulted in the 
smaller digest.

This is why I assumed you were using Outlook:
