Milord:
         While appreciating much of the wisdom included in your message,
I must say that in at least some areas, you would lose such a bet.
         My lady Sarah and I have been graciously allowed to camp with
the Barony of Marinus for the last nine Pennsics.  We are among the
minority who smoke tobacco, which camp rules allow (downwind) in the
common area.
         I for one have attempted always to be conscientious about policing
the site, and also take the trouble to carry a metal container in my pouch
to avoid the temptation to leave butts on the ground when outside the
camp.  I'm sure that there are smokers who are inconsiderate slobs, but
I'd expect even slobs to respond to peer pressure.
