On the Children's A&S competition front I do recall at one of the events in
Sacred Stone (I *think* it was WoWI) I know that a children's A&S
competition was added in, and Mistress Susanna came up with a set of
guidelines for judging the competition that was based upon the adult
guidelines, but significantly altered to look for certain qualities in the
artwork that was at a children's level.
If I recall correctly it was even divided into appropriate age groups in
order to make sure that a 5 yo was not competing against a 14 yo.
I honestly never heard any feedback about how well that did or did not work
and we went to a different system for all of the A&S for WoWII. Did
anyone's child participate in the A&S competition at WoWI? Did they enjoy
it? Did the feed back/forms they receive from the judge's seem appropriate?
If it was something that worked, I'm sure we can contact Mistress Susanna to
find out if we can get copies of her forms so that A&S Coordinators can view
what we had set up and come up with a system that regularly encourages
children's A&S competitions at events.
