It is also a great new comer event. No period police just fun. It is also
a great family event.

The event that was formally named Celtic Cattle Raid, now named Midnight at
the Oasis is a really great event to camp at. It's September 19-21 a little
south of Raleigh, NC and here is the web site you can check it out
http://home.nc.rr.com/eogan/mato2008/
There are acres of land to pitch a tent and the entertainment is also great.

Wilhelm and I try to hit our local events, SC for the most part; WoW (now
III), and Gulf Wars.
This year is a "low travel" year though..

Hi,
I guess it depends where you live and how far you are willing to travel.
Pennsic is a must of course.
We especially like Siege at Glengary (it is an Aethelmearc event) because it
is not too far from our home. It's in a 4H camp, so there is bunk beds,
showers and flushies available.
There is camping space available and we do camp at this event, September
weather is so nice.
We have also heard from reliable sources that Saphire Joust is also a great
event. We will try to make it next year.
