[MR] Single-day versus weekend events

>From the few events I've been to so far in Maryland, it seems that many attendees come for just one day and leave after court, or even before court. Would there be any advantages, or disadvantages, in converting some weekend events to single-day events? Would there be an effect on cost? Would it be easier or harder for the autocrats and hosting group? Would it be easier or harder to get sites for some of these events if they were converted from a weekend to a single day?

Please forgive the impertinence of my questions.
