Actually, I think I can answer this as well as give a little push
towards a 'benefit' of a principality.

Right now, because of the grand populace nature of Atlantia, our Kingdom
Events need to hold a LARGE number of people.  Sites which can
accommodate such a large number of people, plus be at a cheap enough
rate to keep costs low enough while still filling the Kingdom Coffers as
needed ... are rare.

Highland Foorde looked long and hard to finally find one that would meet
the needs of a 12th Night.

And so the principality talk:  Creating a Principality, would most
likely create dual-events in many cases, perhaps on the same weekend,
perhaps not.  But I'm sure that the Principality would host a 12th
night, just as Atlantia would host a 12th night.  They would each steal
from each other, making both events smaller.  But smaller is sometimes
better, in the case of finding sites and handling the logistics of the
events in general.
