Actually, my own memory (possibly quite faulty) seems to remember that
one of the sticky points in the last Principality movement, was that
there was MUCH debate in the border groups as to whether they wanted, or
didn't want, to be part of the Principality.
And I even seem to remember mention of a situation where one group
wanted to be in, who was more southern than a group that didn't want to
be. Causing much angst.
And I have memories of people saying that if/when a next process would
start, that to solve that problem, that it should be a groundswell
effort by a smaller, distinct group who 'all definitely wanted to be
in'. So that it was a well defined landmass from the getgo.
To avoid said arguments. Again, possibly faulty memory here.

potential northern principality -- I think he was referencing someone
else, and I didn't catch the first comment. Last time it fell north of
Isenfir (I believe right along the southern Stierbach border). I
remember because I was just coming in as seneschale at the time and some
people were annoyed about it. While the general opinion at the time
among those who had one was that we'd have chosen to go northern, we
were sort of *told* we weren't to be included in the principality. At
the time I was glad to see the move fizzle -- it saved the smoothing
over of ruffled feathers locally. For the record, I was in favor of the
principality at the time -- I could see a big enough personality
diference in the northern regions that I thought it was appropriate. It
was, and is, culturally different. I just also thought Isenfir was more
northern than southern ;-)
