Your Excellency, I have only just read your missive. Corny you may 'read',
but oftentimes the best of intentions and desires have a way of seeming that
way in a complex world.  The basis of the SCA is the upholding of honor and
chivalry to the best of our ability. With that in mind,  there really is
nothing 'corny' about helping each other out. The USA had its roots in that
little idea.  The SCA began among college students and new graduates, none
of whom were short on imagination or ingenuity, but most of whom were short
on hard cash - roots are good!

Whatever solutions can be found for issues of distance, cost, and whatever
else ills assail us, standing together hasn't yet been shown an utter
failure.
