[MR] driving distances

This debate is very interesting as it is along lines my mind has been following for some time.  I'm sure I'm not alone.  This dramatic rise in the cost of driving--which certainly has not peaked yet--is going to bring dramatic change to all our lives.  Our SCA lives will be no exception.  Indeed, we will be profoundly affected since our hobby is so dependent on travel.  We WILL change because we will have to in order to survive.  Exactly how we will change remains to be seen, but change is gonna come.  I've seen a number of good ideas bandied about in this debate.  As we go through this difficult time of evolution, we must be respectful and kind to each other remembering we're all in this together, pulling together to keep our dream alive.  I personally believe that this change will ultimately be very good for America and for our planet,  Keeping that in mind makes it all a little easier for me to bear.  YIS,  Avery the Far Seeing
